the GLOW-UP 101

"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or idea." ~Earl Nightingale I love this quote. It blew my mind the first time I heard it. It suggests that a goal doesn't NEED to be accomplished in order for you to be considered a 'success.' All you gotta do is pursue it. That's it. That means if you want to BE 'successful' then all you need to do is 'pursue' success and you will feel that feeling. The pursuit makes you a success! Feeling successful is a great way to 'feel content' with yourself! It's fun and it's engagin because it's literally all about becoming a better YOU! This course is a series of 12 mini course that you can spend the entire year on or you could take each mini course one by one. It's up to you! Just be prepared to be challenged! Working on yourself can get challenging which is exactly why we made sure it involves fun! With that, let's work Cutie! ~Sanni, Creator of The Cutie Booty Magazine

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR MONTHLY THEMES IN OUR CLASSES!

Courage 101

It takes a SIGNIFICANT amount of Emotional Intelligence to practice courage. You KNOW you're scared. You KNOW there's a chance you could fall flat on your face BUT you take on the challenge anyway. The awareness of your fear is emotional intelligence. Your ability to practice self-control in order to do that scary thing you're afraid of doing? That's emotional intelligence. Practice that shit some more this month, Cutie.

Healing 101

When trauma happens, it can produce emotions that might stick with you for a long time after that trauma occurred.  If you don't take time to process how you felt when that trauma occurred, you may fall victim to "expressing" those same feelings during a situation that doesn't call for it.  Trauma can result in a ton of emotions so it's important that you focus on how your past trauma's may be affecting your ability to emotionally process current events. Let's work on that this month, Cutie.

Finances 101

How are you spending habits? Do you get the urge to go shopping when you're feeling sad or bored?  If you're not happy with your money situation right now and you haven't researched the link between your emotions and your spending habits, you may want to start doing exactly that this month!

Accountability 101

You are responsible for your reactions to your emotions.  No, you don't get to be a Bitch to the people in close proximity to you just because your plans for the day didn't go as planned. YOU alone are responsible for how you feel and YOU alone are responsible for how YOU REACT to how you feel.

"SELF-AWARNESS"

Achieving your goals is hard enough. Don't let a lack of Self-Awareness slow down your progress. When you are unwilling to see yourself as you are - shortcomings and all - you set yourself up to fall victim to those exact shortcomings; and falling victim to our shortcomings doth not produce feelings of 'contentment' Cutie Pie!  Develop your ability to be real with yourself and get TF out of your own way! *Our four areas of focus this month will be in these areas of development:

Week 1 - Self-Care 101

Week 2 - Finances 101

Week 3 - Emotional IQ

Week 4 - Accountability 101

Self-Care 101

How much downtime do you need to ensure you're refreshed and ready to go when it's time to GO?  Do you need 2 pedicures a month or 3? How many hours in your schedule do you need to dedicate to yourself?  Finding the answers to these questions is a great way to practice "self-awareness."

Finances 101

Spending money is fun...but it's SO MUCH MORE fun when you spend wisely. Being aware of your spending/saving habits as well as the ideas that you've learned over the years about money will help you provide an ENTIRELY new level of financial security & freedom for yourself.

Emotional Intelligence 101

You don't need to "control" your emotions in order to feel like you are being aware of them. Most times, it's just about "feeling" them and learning from them. It takes courage to feel your feelings because not all of them actually "feel" good. This month, try your best to simply acknowledge what you ARE feeling. Just acknowledge that you feel it. And then do a little more. That is a good place to start.

Accountability 101

When you become aware of your own bullshit AND make meaningful change as a result, you are practicing accountability. Make this a normal thing and watch how your life changes for the better.

U.

UNDERSTAND!  Exactly.  Self-Awareness is about understanding.  It's a "PH.D in 'Me'" but 'Me' is YOU!

T.

THINK!  When has knowing yourself benefitted you?  When has not knowing yourself harmed you?

E.

Self-Esteem 101

How you feel about yourself effects how you see yourself. If you think you're fat and sloppy then what do you think you're going to show to the world? You gotta be REAL careful how you talk to yourself and even more careful about what you 'feel' about yourself. If you have toxic feelings about yourself, dig deep and find out why.

Healing 101

Hurt people hurt people.  People fix their lips to say some of the most awful things about each other and the damage can take up decades or more to repair. Your feelings about yourself are effected by your accomplishments, encouragement from family and mentors; but it can also be negatively effected by 'hurt' people. If you can this month, identify any negative ideas you have about yourself and find out where those ideas were born so you can address them head on.

Emotional IQ

Your emotional responses can have a negative effect on your self-image if you aren't careful.  Think about a time where someone did something minor that sent made you so mad that you snapped on everybody in the room.  How did you feel afterward? How did they treat you? How did their treatment effect the way you see yourself? Do you understand now?

Self-Care 101

Think about the last GOOD mani/pedi you had. How did that make you "Feel?" Ok, now think about the last time you had a relaxing head/hand/or back massage. How did THAT make you feel? How do you normally feel after taking care of yourself and your needs? Did it make you feel bad about yourself or good?

MARCH

"SELF-IMAGE"

How you see yourself effects every aspect of your life.  If you truly don't believe that you're deserving of loving, healthy, long-lasting relationships there's a good chance you'll end up choosing relationships based on that narrative.  You've got to work on your self-image on a daily basis because life's challenges will force you to make choices that will ultimate define AND redefine you...some times on a day to day basis. *Our four areas of focus this month will be in these areas of development:

"FITNESS"

Physical fitness is important, Cutie. If nobody told you that, we're telling you that. We accept that most people approach fitness as a means to "looking good," but remember: We're Cutie Booty Media. We want you to FEEL GOOD too, Cutie! Step ya fitness game up! Not only will you look good (obvi), but the mental benefits is BANANAS! You only want "Good Vibes?" Watch how you feel after a 30 minute sweat session!  All endorphins! All Energy! ALL CUTE! *Our four areas of focus this month will be in these areas of development:

Week 1 - Accountability 101

Week 2 - Self-Care 10

Week 3 - Courage IQ

Week 4 - Healing 101

Accountability 101

You gotta hold YOURSELF accountable to YOUR goals, Cutie.  Whatever your "body goal" is, you MUST know that it is going to require a good amount of effort on your part.  Before you start your exercise routine ask yourself if you're willing to STICK to it.  Getting in shape isn't a sprint. It's a marathon and when you don't hold yourself accountable to the promises you made to yourself.  And how "cute" do you think you're going to feel kNOWING you can't keep a promise to yourself?

Self-Care 101

Fitness IS self-care. Dedicating yourself to your health & wellness is one of the LOUDEST announcements to the world (and to yourself, quite frankly) about how you feel about yourself.  Plus it just makes you feel good and remember: we're ALL about FEELING CUTE!"

Courage 101

Nobody talks about how courageous it is to start a workout program.  It's scary. How do you know you can do this?  Well.  The truth is you don't know if you can do it...but that's a damn good reason to try it, is it not?  Think about all the dope things you do right now that you DIDN'T THINK YOU COULD DO when you first did it. All success starts with baby steps...and showing courage is a baby step.

Healing 101

Working out is another form of healing.  Think about it. It's proven to decrease anxious thoughts. It's proven to improve strength.  It's proven to increase confidence. It's proven to do SO MUCH stuff that we don't have the room to mention here. The point is that fitness is good for you...so good that it can even heal you in ways you'd never even imagined.

U.

UNDERSTAND!  Be honest with yourself about what is required of you to achieve your fitness goals.

T.

THINK!  Brainstorm some real ways Fitness can help you Glow Up.  Are you interested in total fitness?  Do you want to improve your nutrition?  Are you working on your mental health?

E.

EMBRACE!  For the love of God start out small!  That's the best way to embrace this!  If you can afford it hire a trainer and if you can't grab a couple of friends as accountability partners and make it a group project!

Self-Esteem 101

If you want to be addressed like royalty, then you must carry yourself like royalty.  Your relationship with yourself is the foundation of every other relationship you'll ever have, Cutie.  If you want people to treat you right, you gotta teach them by leading by example and treating yourself right FIRST.

Accountability 101

Accountability builds healthy relationships and we're not just talking the romantic kind either. Having a track record of dependability can open all kinds of doors for you, Cutie.  If YOU take your word seriously, the people around you will take note and follow suit. Your word will gain power because people will KNOW that they can depend on you to come through for them when they need you the most. Imagine having real clout, Cutie.

Courage 101

It takes courage to go out in the world and make something of yourself...mainly because it involves you making mistakes and learning from them.  This includes social mistakes too, Cutie Don't nobody wanna look like a fool. But in order to learn, we gotta mess up. All socially savvy people weren't born that way.  It took event after event of them making mistake after mistake, but it paid off. Imagine you...a socially savvy Cutie just workin' TF outta the room...

Emotional IQ 101

You gotta manage your emotions, Cutie. You gotta be able to talk with yourself about how you feel so that you can communicate your needs to the people around you.  Your relationship with yourself - including your ability to manage your emotions - is the foundation of every other relationship you'll ever have in your life. Just like everything else in your world, Cutie: It starts with you.

"MINDSET"

Your attitude determine's your altitude, Cutie. Answer this question: "How would you say life is treating you?"  Word on the street is that if you answered "Good," that means your attitude is good. If you answered "Bad," that means your attitude is bad.  Neither answer is good or bad, but they're BOTH filled with info about why you chose to answer the way you did. Let's dig in this month and find out why you gave the answer you gave, Cutie.   *Our four areas of focus this month will be in these areas of development:

Week 1 - Healing 101

Week 2 - Courage 101

Week 3 - Self-Esteem IQ

Week 4 - Self-Care 101

Healing 101

Your mindset is composed of your thoughts and beliefs that shape your thought habits.  Your beliefs come from your experience. Unfortunately, some of these experiences may have lead you to "believe" in ideas that aren't true and may negatively effect your growth. Let's dIg deep to make sure our belief system isn't adulterated with ideas that can hinder our personal growth.

Courage 101

It takes courage to live out your beliefs.  It's easy to just blend in with the crowd instead of charting your own path because that often looks weird and unfamiliar to everybody else. And even though it's scary & risky, it'll take courage to get you through it. Let's learn how to stand and live in our truth.

Self-Esteem 101

Your mindset is HEAVILY influenced by your self-esteem.  What you "believe" you deserve is driven by how you feel about yourself. Let's learn about the connection between our self-worth and our mindsets this month, Cutie.

Self-Care 101

How much effort you put into taking care of yourself is proof of what you believe you deserve.  Let's work on finding out what we truly believe we deserve AND how that effects our ability to "feel cute."

Accountability 101

Every healthy "clique" or friend group practices accountability. If you fucked up, own it, and make up for it. Simple and plain.  Let's learn just how detrimentally important this practice is so that your relationships can survive and flourish, Cutie.

Courage 101

You gotta be willing to check ya people when they're outta line, Cutie.  Respectfully of course. It's a necessary component of all healthy relationships.  Let's learn how to make room for courage, in every aspect, in our relationships Cutie.

Emotional IQ 101

We've said it in other months and we'll say it again this month: You gotta manage your emotions, Cutie. Sooner or later, your people are gonna piss you off. You gotta be able to communicate your feelings without threatening the health & well-being of the relationship. Let's learn how managing our emotions can help us manage our relationships during the challenging times.

AUGUST

"ACCOUNTABILITY"

Our theme this month will be "Accountability."  Accountability refers to an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility for one's actions.

When you are accountable, you understand and accept the consequences of your actions for the areas in which you assume responsibility.

Our 4 areas of focus this month will be in these areas of development:

  • Week 1 - Accountability

  • Week 2 - Mindset

  • Week 3 - Self-Image

  • Week 4 - The Clique

Mindset

How easy is it for your to consider new ideas & information? Do you get upset when you learn something that challenges a past belief? When learning anything new, frustration is to be expected but it should NEVER stop you from learning new information that could help enhance your quality of life. Be open to learning new things this week ESPECIALLY the kind that makes you feel cute!

Accountability

Practicing accountability SUCKS! But the one thing it can do for you is ensure that you don't play yourself! When you own up to your bullshit, you own the responsibility of cleaning up said bullshit, too. It's a Boss move no doubt, but there are an INFINITE number of alternative "Boss Moves" that don't involved you having to play yourself first.

The Clique

You really need to be choosy about who you allow in your world. Here you are doing ALL the REAL WORK it takes to develop yourself, your reputation, and your business, right? Why would you let just any ole body come along and throw you off your square? Be selective AF about who you hold close to you.

Self-Image

How you feel about your appearance? Be honest. You don't have to tell anyone but yourself since YOU are the one who has to walk around with these ideas in your head & heart. Think back to moments where you felt capable, looked beautiful, and a vibe to experience. Think about all the things you did to accomplish that feeling & then start applying those acts in your current situation. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Emotional Intelligence

There are 5 characteristics associated with Emotional Intelligence (EI) including: Self-Awareness Self-Regulation Motivation Empathy Social Skills All of these characteristics effect how you spend your money. This week let's pay attention to these characteristics in our own lives to see if we're doing everything we can be doing to 'Secure The Bag.'

Nutrition

Wanna know a quick way to deplete your bag? Eating out. Seriously. If you're not on a budget and you eat out daily, you are poking HUGE holes in your bag. Again, if you haven't sat down and drawn up a budget that allows for takeout purchases you may be doing more harm to your bag than you think.

Accountability

The first step in 'securing your bag' is coming to terms with how you handle the bag. If you aren't willing to hold yourself accountable for bad spending habits then you'll be doomed to practice bad spending habits. Be honest with yourself about how you spend your money. Let's just start there.

Self-Awareness

When was the last time you looked at your bank statement? When was the last time you truly paid attention to your spending habits? In fact, where did you learn your spending habits? Are they helping or hurting you? What did you learn/hear/understand about money when you were growing up? All these questions about your relationship to your money will reveal some strengths and weakness that you might need to address so that you can truly be in a position to 'secure your bag.'

SEPTEMBER

"THE BAG"

You may have heard the saying: "Secure the Bag."  This statement means that one should move in a way that ensures that her "bag" is SAFE and SECURE as possible.  Got a slick mouth?  Can't let little stuff go? Always gotta have the last word? Cause ALL of these "behaviors" have the potentially to jeopardize the security of your "bag." Let's learn how to NOT let that happen!

Our 4 areas of focus this month will be in these areas of development:

  • Week 1 - Emotional IQ

  • Week 2 - Nutrition

  • Week 3 - Accountability

  • Week 4 - Self-Awareness

OCTOBER

"NUTRITION"

Humans don't have a lot of control, but the one thing we can control is what we put into our bodies. Take a Bugatti for instance. Do you think Bugatti owners are just puttin' any old oil into their engine? Do you think they're just puttin' any old coolant in their engine? Hell! Do you think they just put any ole body in their cars?!? Hell naw! So if you truly value yourself, your goals, and your life, you'll do well to pick quality foods for yourself.

*Our four areas of focus this month will be in these areas of development:

  • Week 1 - Soul

  • Week 2 - Self-Awareness

  • Week 3 - Accountability

  • Week 4 - Fitness

Soul

What's eating you? Because it might be effecting how you decide to spend your money. Your spirit is the very essence of who you are. It is to your benefit to check in with yourself (and your spirit) on a regular basis to make sure unresolved trauma's, insecurities, and fears aren't influencing your decisions about how you spend your money.

Self-Awareness

How often do you pay attention to what you're eating? Being fully aware of what you eat as well as how much you eat will have positive effects on your diet & nutrition. We're not saying become obsessed with counting calories or grams of fat, but we are saying that paying attention to your eating habits will definitely pay off in the long run.

Accountability

Do you understand the relationship between what you put in your mouth and how you feel? If you eat 5 bags of Hot Cheetos and get a debilitating headache as a result, will you hold yourself accountable for the headache you just caused by your food choice? Or are you going to ignore how your food choices are negatively effecting your health & well-being?

Fitness

Diet & Fitness are the keys to Feeling AND Looking cute! Find an exercise (this could take YEARS so don't get discouraged) that you can get excited about! Skating, Dancing, Yoga...it really doesn't matter as long as it's building strength in your body (so that you can use your body whenever you need it) and nutrition in your cells! REMEMBER: Find something you like so on days you're not as motivated, your love for the exercise will keep you consistent so that you can achieve your fitness goals sooner rather than later.

Self-Awareness

Do you really 'listen' to yourself? Self-Awareness can literally make or break your self-image. Ignoring your sleep, nutrition, and psychological needs can cause serious damage to all them #cute vibes you got going. It ravages your body leaving you feeling bad and looking worse. And if you feel bad all the time how could you POSSIBLY look #cute at any time?

Self-Image

Whatever you believe about yourself on the inside will manifest itself on the outside. What you think about yourself will always show up in the choices you make, the clothes you wear, and the company you keep and ALL OF THESE THINGS effect your self-image.

Mindset

We become what we think about. If you think about becoming a successful Woman with a healthy work/life balance then that's what you'll eventually become. If you see yourself as someone undeserving of any of that; or even worse, deserving of LESS THAN that, then you will become someone who deserves less than that. Consider the quality of your thoughts this month and make the necessary adjustments to put yourself on the right track.

Emotional IQ

Your emotions are the message centers of your mind, body, and soul. Pay attention to how you feel before linking up with friends as well as how you feel after you leave them. If you feel exhausted, drained, or filled with anxiety after leaving your group, there's a good chance your body is trying to tell you something about that group. Who you hang out with and where you go can effect your soul. So make sure you're paying extremely close attention to what your emotions are telling you.

NOVEMBER

THE
ASSIGNMENT

There is no feeling like the feeling you get when you work on yourself.  In order to 'feel cute' you gotta put in a little

 So here is your assignment:

  1. Make a 12-month commitment to yourself.  (Be serious about this. Don't ever break a commitment to yourself.  Ever, Cutie.

  2. Pick a month to get started. Any month will do but just be willing to commit to the program & yourself.

  3. BEFORE TAKING THE CLASS READ THIS!  Write down (or text in notes or text message, etc) how you feel about yourself including:

    • How do you validate yourself?

    • What does self- advocacy look like to you?

    • What does self-defense look like to you?

    • Is self-development important to you?

    • Keep these notes.  You will re-visit them in 12 months.

  4. Upon completion of the program, re-visit the answers to #3.  Ask yourself these questions again.  Note any changes in your opinions.  Also note:

    • Which months you struggled the most

    • Which month you struggled the least

    • Keep your notes.

  5. Do a S.W.O.T. Analysis by assessing your Strengths. Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats and make changes in your life accordingly.
