"The man didn’t come back that night at all. But the next morning, while my mama was making me & my sister breakfast… we heard a knock at the door & it was him. My mama opened it. Her daughter called us & the ambulance. She’s the only reason why she’s still alive.”

This doesn't mean we have to process EVERYTHING but it DOES mean we need to be paying enough attention to our world ENOUGH to determine when we're actually safe and when we're not and need to MOVE QUICKLY! Pay attention to your world by practicing SOCIAL AWARENESS.
