  1. QUESTION YOUR FEARS - To lessen the fear about the other person's reaction ask yourself these questions: What's the worst that can happen if I ask? What's the likelihood of that happening? If the worst does result, how long will it take me to recover and come up with a Plan B? To lessen fear about yourself ask yourself these questions: What am I worried about doing or not doing when I ask? How can I avoid that?

  3. ONCE YOU'RE PSYCHED TO TAKE ACTION, SPEND TIME PREPARING
